(which I really didn't know since Michael's never called me love muffin.) I went downstairs and there was a bran muffin from Mimi's Cafe and some orange juice that I have been wanting for months! (Ever since my birthday when he said that I could choose somewhere to go to breakfast and I chose Mimi's because I wanted a bran muffin but instead he surprised me and made me breakfast! Which I loved but ever since have still wanted one!) It had a sweet note with it and he made it seem like in the note that this was just a nice gesture and I took it because it wasn't the first time he's randomly brought me breakfast! (I have the best fiancee ever!!) So I go to school and in my second class Biology my teacher starts class and then he said, "is Lauren Sybrowsky here?" I raised my hand and he asked me to come to the front, my teacher's CRAZY and wears dinosaur shirts everyday and had no problem embarrassing me in front of the class (which Michael apparently told him to do.) He gave me a note and a single pink rose I sat down read the note and then he yells at me to tell the class what it said. And the note said, "Lauren, I just called in a favor from professor Bybee- hope you don't mind! I need you to meet me at your car right after school. Don't keep me waiting. I LOVE YOU!" So of course after that class I was dying and wished that I could leave school that second but don't worry it was 10 a.m. when I got the letter and didn't get out of school until 3:45!! So after school I rush to my car only to find another rose on my windshield and another letter in my door. The letter told me that I was too slow and that he'd already left and that I needed to meet him at our favorite spot off the freeway and that he's reserved a special test ride. So I drive straight to the Harley Davidson dealership, go inside and told them that I was looking for Michael Adamson just like it said to do in the card. One lady looked at me really weird and the other had a spark on her face and handed me yet another letter and another rose. The card said this time that I had yet again missed him but that he's planned a special meal at my mom's house. So I hurry and get in the car yet again and drive to my mom's house in Draper. I get there and my mom opens the door and I asked where he was and she said that he wasn't here and there was ANOTHER letter and rose on the table. I was dying at this point because I just wanted to see him so bad. This time the letter told me to go to the temple. (I am giving a shortened version but each letter was so sweet and I really can't believe how blessed I am to have him in my life!) At the temple I REALLY thought that he was going to be there like I thought every time! How gullible am I. I went to where he told me to go and I couldn't see him anywhere so I called him and he continued to fool me until finally an old man caught on to who I was and told me that I probably wanted to follow him. He led me to another rose and letter that was on the gate of the temple. He told me to go to where we were lying on the "last day of summer." So I went to our friend Reese's house and Reese lead me to the trampoline with another rose and letter and he talked about when we went on a walk and he asked me out for the first time. Then went to Reese's basement where there was another rose and letter that talked about when we had our first kiss. That letter told me to go to where he first told me that he loved me. I went to the park and found another rose and letter in a tree FAR FAR away and it was blowing wind like crazy, I was a mess to say the least! That letter told me to go to La Costa where we've enjoyed many meals and the serenades of Ernesto. He also added (for real this time.) Which made me really happy because I was STARVED. LIttle did I know that he would yet again not be at La Costa and that there was another rose and letter waiting for me. This one told me to go to Jordan Commons and to ask for a lady named Kathy. So I did, she acted confused at first then led me to a back room and gave me another rose and letter. This one told me to go to the restaurant where we ate on our first date. I went to Zupas and surprise surprise he wasn't there again and there was a letter and rose behind the counter and I guess Michael bought chocolate covered strawberries to give to me but they failed to give those to me but I thought that it was nice anyway! I LOVE HIM!! That one finally told me to go to my apartment in Provo! Remember I am in Draper! I still had to drive 30 minutes to see him! I was dying. I finally got to my apartment and the lights were all off, a candle lit, and there was cute Michael in the kitchen slaving away to make me a DELICIOUS meal. We kissed for awhile, then he said that he'd been waiting to ask me a question all day long. He asked me what I was doing for the rest of my life, and if I would marry him. I OF COURSE SAID YES!! I mean how could I say no!! He gave me my beautiful ring that he picked out all by himself!! Very impressed, I seriously couldn't be more blessed. We then ate our meal that Michael made New York steak, twice baked potatoes, green beans, spinach and artichoke dip, and he included a little pomegranate apple cider. It was delicious. We just spent the rest of the night in bliss and am so in love I can't stand it. I just want to be married to him forever. Even though SHE will not blog because she says that she has nothing to say! Right now I'm in the library studying.....I've been here for about four maybe five hours. I have two test tomorrow so I am just stressed. I think that stress is just my state these days, I barely have time to do anything. Poor Sarah has to put up with my tossing and turning at night, I usually wake up at 6 maybe 7, then wanting to talk to her about my stresses! Then I get super tired early because I get up so early. Honestly though a lot of my stresses are eustress's and I don't have much to complain about, I am really blessed. I see Michael for maybe half an hour a day if we see each other at all these past two weeks on school days, and a few hours on the weekends which has been hard to adjust to. Sundays are our favorite because we get to be with each other all day and just relax. I can't believe that it's already February 4...where does time go?! Sarah took me to see Michael Flateley Lord of the Dance last Friday and it was QUITE entertaining! We laughed a lot and were most definitely the youngest people in the audience!! Thank you Sar for taking me, I had a good time! It was good to just go to dinner and hang out with her for a night since I usually don't get the opportunity to do that much these days. I really miss my family too right now....Christmas is always an overdose of family but it is the best time of the year and the only time of year that I get to be with all my sisters for a few days here and there. Also, everyone....REGHAN GOT A NEW JOB! Since she won't post I will, to say the least though she really needed a new job and the perfect job just stumbled upon her and we're all so happy for her! Also, J.Crew is just teasing me with their new Spring line....I want sandals and summer dresses stat! Anyway, I need to get back to studying so wish me luck!

Thai Chicken Stir-Fry!!

Michael and I decided that one thing we're going to attempt this new year is to learn how to cook! I've decided over the years that I really am more of a baker, which comes from my major sweet tooth and that I don't cook that much. So we got out some of my cookbooks that I got from my mom this year for Christmas, went to the store and got all the ingredients, then got started! Our first attempt we were quite satisfied with and it was a great start to the new year!
Us cooking our first meal..
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/SV-ZtTI7p8I/AAAAAAAAASY/Ajqz5XmE04o/s320/IMG_0855.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287113491067152322" />
The finished product!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/SV-aJMDwBfI/AAAAAAAAASo/npf8BsqsR9c/s320/IMG_0857.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287113970202707442" />
Doesn't it look so good!!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/SV-aIlqE2QI/AAAAAAAAASg/zpdRT2qUNgI/s320/IMG_0856.JPG" border="0"alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287113959894472962" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/SV-abj1yVBI/AAAAAAAAASw/P6I60ll243U/s320/IMG_0858.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287114285824234514" />

The paparazzi came to Christmas.

Reghan took this picture and this video on Christmas at my dads house, as you can tell we're quite obsessed with the nieces and nephew. Wow, so I'm still in New York and today was a HUGE day for me. I met Mickey Drexler who is the CEO of Jcrew and Madewell. I was shopping at Madewell in Soho and saw that there was a guy who looked like Mickey in there. I asked the security guard if it was Mickey and he just kind of nodded and said yes but he wasn't sure if he was supposed to say anything. So, I went up to him and introduced myself he started just chatting up a storm with me asking me all sorts of questions. He told me that I looked familiar and how he knew me but I just said that he knew my Uncle Calvin Reeder and that i'm currently working at Jcrew. So he proceeded to ask me what I was doing for the day and asked me if I'd like to come with him!!! I started freaking out, not only did I get to meet the CEO of the company that I work for and that I absolutely love but now he's asking me to come with him?? So I knew that the corporate offices weren't too far away so I thought that maybe we'd take a walk, but no he had his Mercedes parked outside the store with his driver he opened up the door for me and told me to get in! He just was asking me all sorts of questions about myself and what I was doing in New York and how long I'd be here and just EVERYTHING!!! AHHHH. SO we drove over to Jcrew's corporate offices and he took me up with him to his office, where he introduced me to his three assistants. Who took my coat and asked me if I wanted anything like I was royalty. Then they had the recruitment guy come up and give me the tour of the offices where I got to see EVERYTHING and meet EVERYONE all the designers for mens, womens, crewcuts, Madewell, accessories, shoes, jewelry....wow I could go on forever.. he was asking me what I was doing as well if I'd be interested in working there. It was just crazy. The designers were asking me what I liked and didn't like about stuff, it was crazy. Got to see all the inspiration boards. WOW. So we ended up back in Mickeys office and the recruiter who does all of the hiring for corporate gave me his card and he told me to email him anytime and to let him know when I'm done with college!!!! Then I went and said bye to Mickey he told me to let him know if I ever needed anything, he was sooooo nice and then his assistants walked me out. OH and he gave me a gift certificate to Madewell!! Man, seriously one of the most amazing days of my life. I love Jcrew.....I feel a little overwhelmed! Not only did I get to meet him but I got to spend the afternoon with him! So anyway I was super excited about it so I thought I'd share! Love you all and look forward to seeing you when I get home! Oh and I'll write about the rest of the trip later! Peace easy.

Been a long time gone...

I seem to go in spurts of blogging....I always think of things that I want to blog about but then never seem to get around to it! Also, I've been a little under the weather these past few weeks because I had to get my tonsils out which was not pleasant, I don't recommend it to anyone. As of now I really don't feel like I have anything to blog about. My 21st birthday is in 12 days! Crazy right? Time is just flying by, I'm looking forward to Christmas as always since it seems to be the only time of year that the family gets together. Plus, I love the Christmas music, decorations, hot chocolate, cider, just everything! My mom called me the other day and told me that she got her and I tickets to New York for Thanksgiving for my birthday! Last time I was in New York for my birthday my dad and Lindsey came to town I had to work all day at Ralph Lauren, then we went to one of my favorite restaurants Dos Caminos, then went and saw Hairspray! I can't tell you how excited I am! We get in Thanksgiving morning and are staying until that coming Wednesday! I haven't been back to New York since I moved back and I am looking forward to spending a few days going around the city doing things that I used to do! Probably go to Serendipity to celebrate my birthday like I've done a few times, last time I was completely disappointed with the service so we'll hope for better this time! Probably hit up the Ralph Lauren store in Soho see who's still around! Go to 5th and look at all the Christmas decorations! Wow! I'm so excited, I love New York and have so many memories there. Plus, the fact that I get to see Reghan is a major plus, I miss her so much and savor every day I get to spend with her!!

On another note for my public speaking class I have to give a toast...right....I haven't minded giving a speech yet but this one just seems like it's going to be awkward. We're just supposed to act like the person we're giving a toast to is in the audience, but wait they aren't! Oh well, I guess I'll just suck it up and come up with something by Tuesday! Also, I have two test next week which will be okay but I've started picking up more shifts at Jcrew so i'll just have to use my time more efficiently! Speaking of Jcrew, we all know I love Jcrew for many reasons including that these pajama pants come in TALLS which is so great for me! I love them and want them....

Oh and Natalie Dee...never ceasing to bring laughter into my life.

Gilmore Girls & my 5th sister.

We all know that Gilmore Girls is my show and it's coming around that time of year where I'm craving to watch it all the time and all I want is to be a Gilmore Girl. I like to think that I'm one since the main characters names are Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. Lauren+Alexis=ME Lauren Alexis, it was meant to be right? Also I like to think that I look like them (if you don't think so just humor me and say that I look like them, it'll make my day!) I love the mother daughter relationship, the witty dialogue, the Gilmore Girl-isms, Luke, Kirk, Sookie, Lane, basically the whole gang!

But now, more importantly I have a fifth sister. Her name is Keri Russell and she without a doubt was mistakingly put in a different family on accident. My sister Somer and I discuss of how we should tell her about the mistake that has been made, but no action has been taken yet. We don't know how to describe it, but she just is one of us. We know that if she ever saw us she would know that there was a mistake made and she should be our sister so basically we're just waiting for that day. Hoping that she'll accept our adoption!

Meg Ryan creates classics.

^This picture of Meg Ryan is from When Harry Met Sally in a classic scene on New Years Eve. Old school Meg Ryan is the best.
I was thinking today about movies that I wanted to watch and basically all of them had Meg Ryan in them. She has created so many of my favorite movies, some of my favorite movies of hers are....
-Top Gun

-When Harry Met Sally

-Sleepless in Seattle

-I.Q.

-French Kiss

-You've Got Mail

-Kate & Leopold

If you haven't seen all of the movies listed above, it's okay I forgive you. I own all of them except Kate and Leopold so just ask and i'll let you borrow OR EVEN BETTER YOU COULD WATCH THEM WITH ME!!!!! Okay? I'm looking forward to it. ALSO it's fall break this week and I couldn't be more excited, i'll probably be doing homework for most of the time but at least it'll give me time to catch up! Love you all, peace easy.

**Oh and as I was about to publish this post I had a sudden urge that I want to watch Bridget Jones Diary. I have no idea how I stumbled upon this curse of a sickness but it has taken over me and making my life so hard! All I want to do is sleep through the night without waking up, go to school, eat without hurting me, not have a massive ear ache, and not have a bunch of puss in my throat clogging it! Yesterday I went to the doc and he so nicely diagnosed me with strep, went to the pharmacy, then went to math because honestly I can't miss it. I suck at math already and would be worse if I missed a day of class. But I didn't even have my book with me, or a pencil, or paper. So I literally sat there staring at the teacher while he asked me if I was okay like twenty times cuz I apparently looked like I was in a massive amount of pain. Mike so nicely brought me soup from Guru's later and brought me some frozen yogurt from Maverick. So nice of him, if he didn't bring me those things I probably wouldn't have eaten yesterday. Then I slept horribly last night, thought I was feeling okay this morning when Mike and I went to breakfast. I got the mango oatmeal at Guru's which I highly recommend. After breakfast I caught up on some TV then took another nap when I woke up Mike was coming to get me to the grocery store but on the way there I just felt worse than ever so he drove me to the doctor where I got news that I have a rare case of strep that I have to go to the nose, ear, and throat doc to get treated. Heavens. Plus, I had to get a shot in my butt!!! Geez people, I have never been sick like this. I really hope that I recover soon because I don't know how much longer I can handle this, I can barely talk or do anything. It's so frustrating, I will never take my health for granted again! But I think I'm going to go and take some pills now....so peace.

"The time has come," the Walrus said,

"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."
-Lewis Carroll

Does anyone remember that scene from Alice and wonderland between the walrus and the carpenter? What I should be doing right now is going over my Introduction Speech for public speaking that I have to give in approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. But, that's just not going to happen at the moment. Since I am delaying my list of recent events...I just want to say that I miss my friends. Things change so quickly....I'm thinking that we need to plan a girls night with a huge sleepover, muddy buddies, some classic 80's movies, Denny's 2 a.m., and just some girl talk please? This could not be further from the truth! Swedish Fish actually originated in (you guessed it) Sweden, but due to their sweetness, gumminess, and lack of bones, they are commonly bred in gummy-fish farms all over the world. After they are the proper age, they are then gathered up, processed, and bagged for consumption by evil individuals who care more for their sweets than for the life of innocent fishies!

Just take a look at the picture to the right. Here we have a Swedish Fish straight from the package. Here are some signs that this Swedish Fish is in trouble!

Dehydration
Bulging eyes
Anxiety / Depression
Visible loss of fin-to-eye coordination
Need I go on?
It is up to you to rescue these poor creatures from the hands of the hungry! You must save them from a life of pre-packaged madness! Fortunately, Swedish Fish make perfect pets. Read below for more information!

Part 2 - Where To Find Swedish Fish

You can find Swedish Fish anywhere! The best place is in the candy isle of your local grocery store. They come in a wide variety of packages and colors. I recommend buying the biggest bag you can find, so you can rescue even more Swedish Fish!

To the right you will see a bag of standard red Swedish Fish. You can get other colors, but only red Swedish Fish are found in the wild. The multi-colored Swedish Fish have been treated with harsh dyes and chemicals!

Part 3 - Giving Your Swedish Fish A Home

Once you have brought your new pets home, you must find a place for them to live. Any container of water will work, but be careful of toilets and sinks (especially ones with garbage disposals!). You should find your Swedish Fish a nice stable home, such as a fish tank.

I like put gravel or aquarium rocks in the bottom of my Swedish Fish tanks. It also does not hurt to put in a few plastic plants. A few plants will make your Swedish Fish feel comfortable, as it mimics it's natural habitat (Swedish lakes are known to have plastic plants).

Next, simply fill up your tank with fresh water. Be careful not to use salt water. Swedish Fish are fresh water creatures! Now all you have to do is open up your package of Swedish Fish, and pour them into the nice cool water. Do not worry if they sink, or float, or just sit there doing nothing. They have been through a traumatic experience, and might still be in shock!

Part 4 - Feeding your Swedish Fish

If there is one thing I have learned about Swedish Fish in my many years of research, it's that they absolutely love candy! Any kind of candy will do, but remember they do not have teeth, so nothing too hard.

Pixie Sticks are a popular food among Swedish Fish. I usually recommend 1 stick per fish per day. The water may get cloudy
with the powder, but it will eventually settle
to the bottom of the tank.

Other good foods include: Pop-Rocks, Crushed Smarties, and Pure Sugar.

Part 5 - Treating A Sick Swedish Fish

If after several weeks your Swedish Fish still do not seem to be very active, they are most likely sick! Below are some very good remedies for Swedish Fish who are not feeling their best. Only try one remedy at a time, otherwise it could endanger your new pets!

Pixie Stick Therapy - Place your Swedish Fish in a bag full of pixie stick powder. Shake. Wait 15 minutes. Place back in tank.
The Swedish Shake - Pour the tank into your blender. Puree for 2 minutes. Return contents to tank (can be messy).
Part 6 - Miscellaneous Information

Below are some common questions and answers.

Q: What is the life span of a Swedish Fish?
A: Up to 5 years. By then the water is usually pretty mucky.

Q: What are some good names for my Swedish Fish?
A: I recommend getting a 'Baby Name' book. They are full of ideas!

Q: My cat ate my Swedish Fish! Help!
A: Unfortunately they are gone. Buy another bag!

Q: Do Swedish Fish have any natural enemies?
A: Yes! Porcupines!

Q: I found half of a Swedish Fish in my package. What do I do?
A: *sigh* This is the result of genetic manipulation gone bad. He is past help.

Update!

Alright so life just keeps on getting busier and busier doesn't it?? Don't you miss being young and not having a care in the world? Moved back to Provo this past week, it's been a good time. Last year our apartment was lets just say not as nice and so I'm stoked about this new one! Sarah and I are sharing a king size bed that we are loving, I don't know if I'll be able to sleep alone after this one. Tuesday night was the first night that we slept down there, I brought some junk food and we attempted to watch What happens in Vegas...I definitely fell asleep before the movie even really started. Next day I went and moved more stuff down also Abby and Jessica came over to see our new pad! It was really great to have a chance to chill with the married friends. Miss them, sadly Abby got her car towed and had to pay $121 dollars to get it back. So for those reading please do not park in our parking lot, you will get towed!!! If you want to know where to park just ask. Thursday school started and it was really great to see everyone and go to all new classes! I've got 17 credits this semester so it's vital that I get off to a good start! Thursday night after a long day Sarah and I first went to Guru's (we're going to be their best customers this year,) then to the Boyz II Men concert! I had no idea how big of a deal they were...it was PACKED! I kind of made fun of Sarah at first when she was like, "Syb buy your ticket now they're going to be sold out!!" Good thing I did buy it, apparently sold out that night. It was fun to see Cass, McKall, and Cam since in Provo don't get to see them too often! Friday went to school again, did homework, then mother Sybrowsky came down and took Sarah and I to Happy Sumo for dinner! It was so good, we got this fried banana split thing and it was DE-licious! It's making my mouth drool just thinking about it. Then came back gave mother a tour, Michael came over then went to Yoasis met up with Jake and his bro then off to bed because I was waking up at five to go on a 20 mile run! Saturday ended up running 19 miles...heavens! I'm so grateful I've got a great family who helps you along the way! I was good until after mile 14.5 then I just got a mental wall where I just didn't want to go anymore important thing is I'm alive and I finished! Anyway went to Apple store with father Sybrowsky and got a new computer!! Woohoo...free printer, scanner, and copier....PLUS a free iPod touch! Nice right?? Saturday night I got to see my other half Desiree at her sister's wedding reception and it just made my day. I love her and her husband they're so cute and it was great to see the whole Jone's family and some Texas friends. Today was Gavin's farewell...he's so cute I'm going to miss him! So here are just some other trees that I really like!

Oh and have any of y'all ever been to the Redwoods? Oh my gosh, I love that place! The trees are HUGE!! A few years ago I went with the family, Aunt and Uncle and their kids. They live in Oregon so they go to the Redwoods often so they knew all the trees that you could go in and all sorts of stuff! At one point my whole family climbed on their bellies into this huge tree, kind of claustrophobic getting in and out but fun none the less! I don't want summer to end, but at the same time I'm getting excited for the crisp fall weather and the changing of the leaves!

Monet to Picasso

So the other day Somer, Brock, Greta, Lindsey, Momma Mia, and I went to lunch at Ruth's Diner where I hadn't been since my sister Kayce got married forever ago it feels like. After we went to the art exhibit Monet to Picasso at UMFA. I really enjoyed it, to say the least. Art's amazing, the best part of going to those exhibits is seeing art that you've seen countless times and love and then finally see it in real life and it's more beautiful than you could imagined. Before we went into the exhibit they had a few quotes painted on the wall by different artists that I liked and wrote down...

"The way to know life is to love many things."-Vincent Van Gogh

"Creativity takes courage."-Henri Matisse

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once one grows up."-Pablo Picasso

For me I feel like I was so much more creative as a child and sometimes when I think about it I'm sad that I haven't exercised my creativity more. When I was in elementary school I was in this group called "O.M." or Odyssey of the Mind. It was for the creative kids and we went to all sorts of competitions and did plays. They were crazy things I had to do now that I look back on it, basically I just wish I used my creativity more. My three favorite pieces from the exhibit that I saw are....
1-The Poplars at Saint-Remy-Vincent Van Gogh

I'm probably one of the biggest fans of Van Gogh...he's amazing.

2-The Thinker-Rodin

C- La Vie-Pablo Picasso
If y'all have an opportunity to go to this I'd highly recommend it! I don't just want the bed, or the chair. I want the brick wall, the windows, the floors, the everything. Room done right don't you think? Oh and I'm really excited for Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants to come out next week! I watched the first one the other day when I was sick slash still am sick and it got me so excited. I remember the summer that I read these books. It was in high school when I went down to Texas for the summer as usual to spend time with my dad. He had cut out the article about the books that he saw and took me to the book store that day to buy them! I loved them and glad that I have a dad who looks out for things that I might like! I also need to pick up the phone and call Katy because if I counted right she's five months pregnant with twins and has a one year old! I'm so excited for her and Todd, I just wish that I could go to Texas forget about college for awhile and just be her nanny! But, I know what I gotta do! Also, need to call Desiree back! Oh and going to Vegas this weekend with my dad for a little R&R, so I'm excited for that too. Even though i've realized that Breaking Dawn comes out while i'm gone and I was planning on going to Barnes and Noble with mi amigas at midnight to get it and thoughtful Sar put one on hold for me. Being sick has just blurred my days and I haven't really been thinking straight. I went to Sarah's house yesterday for SYTYCD, mind you that SYTYCD is not on on Tuesdays hence my mind does not work these days. Anyway, I'm on my death bed and don't want to be sick in Vegas, so I'm going to try to sleep even though I haven't been having much luck with that!

Some more EFY pictures!

Some of the girl counselors!
A few of the Enter into the Kingdom youth..
My girls and I before the Friday night banquet!
Some of the boys!
Me, Robbie, and Maichael THE counselors for Enter into the Kingdom the MIGHTY MIGHTY KINGDOM!
ALLLLRIGHT ALLLRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT HEY! But let's just say it was amazing! Saturday we had training before EFY started on Monday and it made me feel a lot more confident in the week that I had ahead of me. I had read through the training manual but sometimes the things that you read just don't stick. Like the games. It was really helpful to get together and play the games during the breaks of our training. It was also a really good time to bond with the counselor's before the week started. We really had an amazing group, we all just clicked so well and became instant best friends. It was such an uplifting experience. All of us were there together for the same purpose and all the hard work that everyone put in preparing for that week was unbelievable. I feel so blessed to have been a part of that week, and I know that I was meant to be there. Sunday we got up and went to church, it was testimony meeting the spirit was so strong there throughout all three meetings and it just confirmed to me again that this week was going to be special something that I'd never forget. Monday was hectic we woke up and had a meeting then started learning dances for orientation. Then check-in started it was mass chaos but once all my girls were with me it was an eye opener. This is it..these are my girls and I've got to start right now making a difference cuz the week's going to be over before I know it. Which it was, we were so busy throughout the week that it really did fly by so fast and on Friday I just wanted to rewind to Monday and start all over. I didn't want to leave. My girls and I got so close the last few days, it really was so sad to say goodbye. On Saturday afternoon we all met together as counselors again just to share experiences that we'd had throughout the week and I haven't cried that much in a long time. Everyone was so eager to share experiences that they had had throughout the week and it was great to reflect on the amazing week we had. I really feel so so blessed to have been a part of that EFY and all the people I was able to meet. After the meeting all of the counselor's went to Turtle Bay swimming, laying out, and some played volleyball! Then we drove to Honolulu to go to the Cheesecake Factory...yummy. It was great not having to say goodbye yet. Then Dennis and Erika had to go to Walmart on the way home and the whole time I'd been in Hawaii I'd been looking for Local's for my bro-in-law and could not find them anywhere! I tried foodland, abc store, and then...finally...I FOUND THEM AT WALMART! I was so happy to find them I bought three pairs! We sang the EFY theme song "Steady and Sure," like ten times and it was awesome. We all thought the song was a little cheese at the beginning of the week, but that has since changed it is now the number one song on my play list! Sunday we went to church again, we went to an earlier ward and realized that it was a newlywed's ward and that there were two chapel's in the stake center....what...?? We were confused! That night we went to dinner at the Shumway's and it was soooo good I could only stay for an hour though cuz the Island Transporter was picking me up at 7. It was really sad to say goodbye's, the second I left I was in tears. The whole way to the airport I cried too. My driver was such a good guy and it was just me and him. He spoke right to my heart and told me all of these personal stories. If you want to hear about them let me know, I'd love to share.

At Sunset beach these Japanese girls wanted to take a picture with us!
Turtle Bay for the 4th this was post HUGE rain storm! ha
ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM best company ever!
Kels, Court, and I at our morning meeting!
Bobbie, Kels, me, and Dennis at another morning meeting!

California Dreamin'

I've been out of touch for awhile due to some vacationing but now.....i'm back! My sister was crying on the phone whenever I talked to her and I think she called me 20 times but I understood that she was nervous so I just let her do what she thought was needed and what would make her feel good! I hope that they're having a good time and we're enjoying having a baby around! She's so happy and just a pleasant baby! Whenever I go out with her I feel like people think that I'm her mother though which makes me feel a little uncomfortable since I don't wear g's and don't have a wedding ring on I think that people think I'm just this poor girl who got knocked up in her teen years! ha Whatever people can think what they want! But my sister Kayce and her two children come in town tonight and I can't wait! I'm sure that I'll write all about it! Here are some pictures that I took yesterday while babysitting baby Gigi....

Her right after she's eaten so very happy!
Me taking away her "My Best Friend" doll ha just to see her get so excited to get her back! E Colleyville, TX 76034

I have an attachment that I don't quite understand to that address above. I will always think of 1301 Chatsworth Ct. E as my home. Also 817-577-3332 as my home phone number. If I had the money I would go to Texas buy that home and live in it for the rest of my life. My parents built it when I was young almost 2 and lived in it until I was 15 with my mom and a few summers and random times during the year whenever I would go to visit my dad in Texas after that. I google mapped it this morning, and just started crying whenever I was looking at it. I tried to save an image of it to put on here but it wouldn't let me. I just have so many memories there and that's where my family was a family. The people who own it now are really nice, and let me go inside and walk down memory lane through the house whenever i'm in town. They say that they'll never have to move again because the house is perfect. Which it is, at least in my view. There's just something about the place where you grew up. It's not only the house it's the neighborhood, the friends, the town, everything. I have only been to a few classes in my life and haven't really taken anything out of them. But I tried a new one on Thursday morning and it was awesome! I sweat, liked the teacher, good music, and I am actually sore today which is good! I really like being sore for some reason it makes me feel like my workout was worthwhile. Plus, I'm getting bored with my workout routines so it's good to have a change of pace! I'm trying out a yoga class tomorrow morning and I hope that it goes well, I would like to do both of them! But it seems like people are either yoga or Pilate's people not both...so we'll see how it goes!

R.A.L.K are coming to town!!

Reghan is my beloved long lost sister who lives in New York City, she's pictured above. She's so fun to babysit because she's just such a happy baby. I feed her around 8, last night she thought it was funny to stick her tongue out and make noises that lead to her food going all over her high chair. Then I just play with her which is getting harder now that she's starting to scoot all over and getting into everything but still just fun. Then around 9-9:30 I change her diaper and put her in her pj's, then give her bottle of 4 oz. with 2 scoops...ha right Somer? Then she just falls asleep in my arms with her bink which I think is my favorite part. There's nothing like a baby falling asleep in your arms, I love it and love her and am so grateful that my sister had her so that I can play with her! Plus, will you look at those eyes?? She's going to break some hearts with those!

Fall Flapjacks!

So lately I have been craving fall flapjacks! It's always fun to go to anything related to Texas because that means that people from Texas will be there and it's always a fun reunion. One of my best friends Desiree was able to come up to the wedding and I was so excited to have her in town! She's married now so I really don't get to see her often and especially without husband who was in Cancun on business. She ended up going to the wedding with my mom and I and it was such a good time. I miss her so much! She's one of those people that just make you want to be a better person whenever you're around them, and makes you feel like a million bucks and that you can do anything. I feel so blessed to have her in my life. Also even though she's married, she still calls me and talks to me and makes sure that i'm okay and keeps up with my daily life. Ever since we were little we've just always had this connection that neither of us have ever been able to quite figure out. I just love her and had a good weekend because I was able to spend some time with her! Thanks Des for always being there! Love you!

Hurricane 2008

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/SCsZnNq_fcI/AAAAAAAAADg/3sQBV-lkOLY/s320/Lauren%27s+Camera+490.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200278356204944834" />
Hello everyone, i'm back. I promise to try to not be gone for so long again. Just have been crazy busy! So I recently ran my first half marathon in Hurricane, Utah. I went down with my dad, cousin Paige, and her best friend Laurie. Dad, me, and Paige are featured in the picture above all sweaty this picture is post race! It was a good weekend, and I was somewhat satisfied with how the race went! My goal was to finish in under two hours, but ended up finishing at 2 hours 4 min, which is apparantly a 9:30 mile according to my little card that I got. I was sixth in my division, and 94th overall. So not too shabby for my first race ever! After the race my dad and I drove to Vegas for the rest of the day where we went shopping at my favorite store ever Madewell. There are only 8 stores in the country and I usually get to go to the one in Dallas, my hometown, when visiting my dad. But, since he's moved to Utah now I won't have the opportunity to go as often as I would like. They are supposed to start an online website this month so that'll be nice! Anyway, i'm going to start another post! ha

Aruba, jamaica ooo I wanna take you, Bermuda, bahama come on pretty mama, Key largo, montego baby why don't we go, Jamaica...

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/R_vurUAMYSI/AAAAAAAAADI/y2K6gHf_Zm8/s320/bermuda.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5187001823718564130" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/R_vut0AMYTI/AAAAAAAAADQ/yFbxzSzjrN8/s320/bermuda+2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5187001866668237106" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/R_vuwkAMYUI/AAAAAAAAADY/X_6EFHcKmfM/s320/bermuda+3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5187001913912877378" />
I've always wanted to go to Bermuda and right now during the last two weeks of school, I'm really feeling like a vacation is in order. I know that I'm on the right path going to school and all but sometimes I want to kick school in the face, which is how I'm feeling right now. Do I do summer school or do I just work and play? It's a constant tug of war in my mind. As of now I want to major in marketing but what if I get into and end up hating it? I don't think I will, but what if! Also, at work our store director is leaving and every thing's going to change between the two stores. Who's going to move up, or to a different store, or who's going to flat up quit! I don't think of myself to be a person that hates change or anything and for the most part change ends up being good for people. But in this case I really like how things are at work and everyone I work with and I just don't know what's going to happen. Tomorrow the boss's boss's boss's boss is coming in and I was asked to work which is a compliment but at the same time just a little nerve racking. I have been thinking about what I'm going to wear all day and still can't come up with an outfit that I'm happy with. I would normally just put something on but when every one's like oh you're working when Garret's coming in what are you going to wear! You start to kind of freak, I feel like I have to wear something fabulous. Blah. Don't get me wrong I love clothes and getting dressed for that matter but when there's pressure on the issue it makes it not as fun for me! It'll be fine though. Anyway happy April Fool's Day. Take it easy.

Batman

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/R_FwDUAMYRI/AAAAAAAAADA/SkrvSq4EQAI/s320/scan0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184047848291590418" />
So I was just rummaging through the office closet and found this photo album of my family in Mexico with my Uncle's family. Then came across this photo of my father and I. I'm not quite sure why he's wearing the mask, but I love it. As far back as I can remember my dad wore that mask and all black every Halloween to go trick-or-treating with me. But I would have to say that no ice cream can compare to Blue Bell ice cream. It was one of those luxuries as a child that I took for granite. It was just always in the freezer waiting for me, and I thought that it was everywhere! Then I found out that Blue Bell is made in Texas and stays in Texas along with a few other southern states. Now that I am no longer residing in Texas and as of January I no longer have any family members there I don't know when the next time will be that I will have some. I've kind of been distraught about the whole thing actually enough to spend some time on the Blue Bell website only to find that Blue Bell does deliver! Overnight! BUT it's $100 for 3 gallons of ice cream. In our family a gallon can go in a night so not very much ice cream for $100. I'm hoping that my dad will indulge in this fine treat for us at least once a year. If not then I will have to figure out another way to get it here. My mom said that there's a place in Provo that sells it according to one of her sources because of the amount of Texas kids who come to Utah wanting some Blue Bell he gets it sent. I spent some time trying to figure out where it is, but I am yet to find this place. So, until then I guess i'll just be dreaming of it in my sleep.

1964-The Tribute

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/R-xNTEAMYLI/AAAAAAAAACE/E8HaCj60sgU/s320/beatles.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182602261084004530" />
So I know it's been awhile since I've posted a blog, but life's been busy! This blog is dedicated to the Beatles. I am fortunate enough to have a father who has good taste and is always thinking about things that I would like. So when he saw that the Beatles where coming to town he jumped on it and got the best tickets he could buy and invited my sister and I to go! I wasn't sure what to expect with impersonators but let me just say I was verrry impressed with their skills. It was so much fun, all ages where there, everyone was standing singing, smiling, and dancing! I loved the Beatles before but now I appreciate them even more!

Jane Austen Book Club

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/R9F0WS9wGWI/AAAAAAAAAB8/AguxbS72LNE/s320/Jane+Austen+Book+Club.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5175045373222197602" />
If I could describe the girls in my family in two words it would be Jane Austen. My mother of course loves her and the books and has since passed it on to her girls. We all have a thing for everything Jane Austen. Since we can't get enough of Jane Austen we rent and watch everything associated with her. Including the lastest movies Becoming Jane and The Jane Austen Book Club. Which has now inspired me to read the six books in the next six months. I would love it if my sisters where around and we could meet once a month and talk about it, but unfortunately that's unrealistic for us right now. Maybe one day though. So posting this will make me do what I have aspired to do, I'll keep you udpated!

Dairy Princess

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/R9CdPBY7NQI/AAAAAAAAABk/TowGZ6t-HQw/s320/dairy+princess+1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5174808853245277442" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/R9CdPhY7NRI/AAAAAAAAABs/l9Ynsh9O8mk/s320/dairy+princess+2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5174808861835212050" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_frin2kgRS5s/R9CdQBY7NSI/AAAAAAAAAB0/S5rXKdsksnk/s320/dairy+princess+3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5174808870425146658" />
This is my beautiful mother when she was my age 20! I have this thing with photo booths I think they're so fun! Hence when I saw this photo booth in the mall i couldn't pass it up! This one for me is just classic, my friend Sarah and I went to the mall very early in the morning just after we'd showered with no makeup on, our hair wet, and still in our pajamas to get tickets to the Parade of Homes in St. George. Even though we were not looking top notch we saw the booth and jumped in! Thanks Sarah for always doing the stuff with me that I enjoy! You're top notch!

"It's DA POOP!"

My nephew Axel last night at my sister's house had a classic moment that I thought i'd share. We'd just eaten dinner and Axel and I were playing by the couch. He starts shaking his leg and touching his sock then I notice that there were two pieces of what I thought looked like salsa-which we had eaten earlier that night-on the floor that I thought might've gotten stuck in his clothes somehow. So I pick up the pieces like it isn't anything hand it to my brother-in-law Brock and he goes and throws it away. So I ask Axel what it was and he walks over to me, gets an inch away from my face, tilts his head looks at me very seriously and in a little high pitched voice goes..."It's DA POOP!" Me not thinking it was really poop, starts laughing because he said it so cutely and close to my face. So my sister Kayce comes down the stairs and we're like Axel just had some salsa or something come out of his pants and we asked what it was and he said poop...ha ha. So she checks his diaper...not only was it poopy...MAJOR blow out!! Don't worry guys it was poop and we touched it. He ended up having to get stripped and taking a bath and going home with just his sweater on and a towel wrapped around his diaper since he ruined his onesie and pants. This story will go down in history as one of those stories that we'll tell when he's older and asks stories about his childhood.

Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl is my new thing to look forward to. Monday morning, noon, and night i'm thinking yes I get to watch Gossip Girl tonight! I can't describe what it is about the show that is so intriguing to me. Possibly the incredibly gorgeous guys on the show, the breathe taking wardrobes, or the unrealistic lifestyle that the upper eastsider lives. I also am intrigued because I've lived in New York City. Every time I watch I get brought back to the good times that I had there and wait for a scene to come on where I know where they are, get excited, and say to myself or others around me that i've been there! I suggest that if you haven't taken time out of your life to watch it, do it'll be worth it! You'll be hooked right away like I was.
